The Choice is yours (This or That….)

I was actually digging through the crates (which in this day and age means going through folders on a hard drive) and I came across this oldy but goody of the hip world by the now defunct black sheep! I put it on the virtual turntables and let it blast! After nodding my head back and forth for a few minutes and waving my hands around as if I cutting it up on a pair of 1200s… It kind of hit me… With everything going on in the world and in my life, my family life, the books, the websites, the hobbies… Everything… and I do mean everything really comes down to one thing! “The choice is yours”.

Usually I hate when I get into these zen like introspective/retrospective moments (and no! I do not smoke weed) But in this case I was glad that the chain of events made me think about ESO… what we had accomplished and what we had hoped to accomplish… and then I caught one of those flashbacks to a conversation that I had with my better half nearly a month ago about what I was planning on doing with the site, and was I still writing content… I told her I really could not give her an honest answer since I was still a little upset of how things played out over the winter… As she went into the bedroom she yelled back” people are going to do what they want to do, You shouldn’t let that stop what you are doing unless stopping is what you want to do” (My brain could be embellishing this part since she rarely has given this type of advice but since Its typed I am going to run with it)!

But in all reality she was spot on point! You can never let people whether intentional or not stop your plans or for a lack of a better phrase “hold you hostage”.

While listening to the music still playing on the background (which now seemed surreal because of my zen like state) the answer became very clear, although a month late…  but you know what they say about better late than never… I would continue what we started however the focus will shift (If only to keep my frustration level low) The shift will no longer put pressure on me or the reader but will allow for the best of both worlds…

1.       ESO will continue to update and add content and that will be the main focus of ethnic swingers online.

2.       We will be adding interactive apps… just because it’s kewl…

But back to the black sheep… Through the years of writing books and building websites I have really learned that you can put anything you want out there for public consumption but you can never force people to consume or take part in everything you do, ultimately the choice is yours as well as mine, although you might not be ready at the moment to partake in what we offer or you may be ready to indulge but are getting frustrated with others who are holding the process back… you now have options… or should I say “choices”!

As the black sheep start to fade out I realize I have to tell my wife about the choice I just made…
