Getting Started
Someone once said, “beginnings are beautiful things.”
But then again some one also said that starting something new could be the scariest time in your life!
The truth of the matter is that how your first experience in the lifestyle turns out, be it wonderful or horrible depends almost totally on you.
Some of you might be wondering why I would say such a thing, I mean after all this is an activity that has multiple people involved so why does the assurance of a good time fall on any one individual?
Well mainly because you of all people know what makes you happy! And secondly with just a ‘wee’ bit of forethought and planning you can almost be guaranteed a wonderful and fulfilling time!

Materials needed…

1. A willing partner.
Seems simple enough, but there are still people who think that its kewl to surprise their partner by taking them to a party or couples club without letting them know what kind of event that they are about to attend!
Sure, the two of you have talked about it time and time again but that does not mean that both of you are ready to transfer talk into a real time experience. Surprise into the lifestyle is not really a good way for people to enter into it. Make sure that both of you are on the same page and understand limitations if there are any. If during the course of the night a partner tells you that they are uncomfortable with the idea and would like to reconsider, respect his or her wishes and make a graceful departure. Remember there will always be other opportunities but always respect your partner!

2. Protective devices AKA Condoms
I can never stress this enough, always and I mean always practice safe sex!!!!
This in no way means that the people that you may choose to play with may have STDs and it is not saying that you do, but the reality of it is that… Shit happens! 15-25% of the people that have STDs have no symptoms and do not even know that they have an STD! Nothing can ruin a first experience quicker than coming home to find out that one of you has contracted some nasty little bug. One thing we stress at our parties is safe sex! Get asked to many times to cover yourself or your present partner up and you may find yourself escorted from the party! So always come to the table prepared, never expect your host to supply you with condoms, make sure that both of you carry some, and bring more than you expect to even use, hey you never know!

3. A little bit of research
We would love to say that we have all the answers to all your questions
 But the truth is from time to time even we have to to do a little research ourselves! There is nothing wrong with doing a little research either via newsgroups printed media or even the site (we will host reviews from real people just like you) remember not all swing clubs are the same! Some clubs are geared towards the more advanced veteran swinger just as some clubs are very friendly towards the new/curious first timer. Also if you are an ethnic adult and/or are looking for other ethnic couples to play with try to find a club/or event that is geared towards ethnic couples nothing like finding yourselves as the center of attention just because of the hue of your skin.
