So here is the way it usually goes down… You are getting a little tired of going to the usual local swing club! If for the only reason you see the same people over and over and you are paying for this privilege! When it would be better to just invite the people over to your house and initiate your own swing group…
For whatever reason the scene as you know it is getting kind of dead as far as the club/s that you are frequenting a lot of the yahoo groups are pretty good but as you are probably finding out, they are kind of clicky most are only looking for new members for pay events and that’s it! Or of them are the brainchild of some single male that has found an easy way for himself and some of his closest buddies to get laid!
Although there are many sites out there that cater to swingers even a few that cater to ethnic swingers most of them are pay sites with no real, connection, support or oversight from the creators and like I said you have to pay to play…
So what’s a swinger to do?
Enter a site that although Spartan in its design, offers a lot of ways for swingers to get their lifestyle groove on! Swing Lifestyle or SLS by those who are in the know…
First off, this is a pay site offering free membership. To unlock all of the features such as seeing the real pictures of members (nude), creating a community, and of course hosting your own events and listing them on the site… yeah, you are going to have to pay.
However you can really find a bunch of stuff to get you started without even signing up such as their events or party directory! This allows you to find and view upcoming events by state and if you are a member it will even sort by distance! For a couple going on vacation this can be a lifesaver since craigslist has become a haven for pic collectors…
Now you have an idea of what hot activities will be going on around you!
The listings can be broken down by club events (on and off Premise), group events (groups of swingers who are members that host their own parties and meet and greets) as well as private events clubs or groups that have to approve your for membership before you can attend their parties.
You can also search for other couples and singles to play with in your area and one cool thing about swing lifestyle is their cert or certification system which can take the frustration out of sifting through real lifestyles and those that are just out to frustrate you with a bunch of emails and requests for pictures.
They have added a video chat module however it is kind of buggy…
Membership does have its privileges allowing you to do more on their site even giving you the ability to block your profile from non paying members (kewl feature if you are worried about someone just trying to look for pics or see who the swingers are in their area just to be nosey!) However if you are just testing the waters or need someplace to quickly find out where the parties are in a certain area or you are looking to see if you can find a quick couple or two to play with… Then the free option will probably be fine!
In the end if you are looking for a bunch of bells, and whistles and killer flash effects… Then this might not be the place for you. However if you are looking for a site that really has the swinger in mind then SLS or Swinglifestyle is really a good place to start!
